About

About Me

I have worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist since 1997 and am very experienced at treating adults and older people following a hospital admission or for mobility problems experienced during day-to-day life.

I have built up a lot of experience in helping my clients to develop their strength and movement so that their bodies become capable and resilient.

Use it or lose it

Have you ever heard the term “Use it or lose it”?

It is so important to keep challenging yourself to move in many different ways to prevent your body from becoming restricted and susceptible to injury.

If you neglect your joint health, you will eventually run into issues that will limit your strength and function and could even lead to pain.

I know first-hand what it’s like to struggle with chronic pain and search for relief. I have a rheumatoid condition and there have been times when I have felt very low about my body letting me down.

Consistency is more important than perfection

What turned it around for me was that I began to focus on consistently practicing mobility training. This complimented the strength and balance training that I was doing, and I started to notice results.

It isn’t easy but with time, I began to move better and have more good days than bad.

How I can help you

I can give you the support and input you need to enable you to also become stronger and more mobile and ultimately have an improved quality of life both physically and mentally.

I deliver Physiotherapy sessions in my client’s own homes to take the stress out of travelling to a clinic. I provide Physiotherapy assessment to understand your current abilities and your goals. The programme I provide will include tailored exercises that incorporate strength, balance, and mobility training.

No matter how you feel, Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up and Never Give Up.

For me, this video epitomises why movement and activity are so important.
